First Impressions: Pantech Discover

Source: Daily Mobile - February 11th, 2013

For a long time Pantech has been known as second tier manufacturer of devices and never really seriously attempted to get out of that mold until now. Introducing the Pantech Discover this device is Pantech's first real flagship device. The fine folks at AT&T have let me test one for a little and I have been using it for a couple of days. Let's dive in and see if Pantech has a hit or miss here with the Discover shall we?
Specs:
Let's start with the basics the specs to see what Pantech is bringing to the table for a such a reasonably priced device. ($49.99 on contract)

While I haven't this device for too long I'd still like to give you a short list of pro's and con's I have noticed so far.
Pro's:
  • Feels Great in Hand
  • Shape of Device makes it sit firmly in your hand
  • The textured back is grippy/not slippy
  • Speakers are good and loud
Con's:
  • For a 12.6mp camera the pictures are Camera Phone average
  • Buttons... ahhh? They are virtual or placed in the wrong spot.
