While BlackBerry's new operating system BB10 looks like nice mash up of MeeGo, Windows Phone and iOS it is still untested with the person who counts the most the general consumer. It seems Mashable wanted to put it to a test with average people that have no idea how a BB10 device works. Than they put this video together to show us the results. So sit back relax and watch. I will give you my thoughts on the other side.
While these people look really confused don't forgot normally someone would be there (in the store, or intro video) to show these users how to use this device. That being said it is telling how confused these people are. (My personal favorite is the unlock the phone part where the lady says "Got it" all proud and than the guy tells her she doesn't) Blackberry is going to have a hard time getting people to change the way they use their phones. I mean something as simple as Windows Phone swiping down and not left to right really (and I mean really) confuses some phone users.
Seeing as BlackBerry had to go big or go home here I can't blame them for their bold choice of OS design... I personally think it's refreshing and clean. However I think this grand sweeping change will not work in the favor in the long haul. People really don't like change and BB10 would be a big time change for almost everyone out there.
