Convergence… it’s a tougher choice these days

Cloud Convergence... its a tougher choice these days
5 years ago the choice was simple, if you wanted an OS solution that 'brought things together' Apple was the 'only' feasible way to go, Windows was too clunky and Android was to limited.

But things have changed, somewhat anyhow and I guess that there is no point in trying to convince 'die-hards' to change but what I would advise is to try out, or play around with the different options, the choice I promise you is not as one sided as it used to be...
With Windows 365 and SkyDrive now nicely merged I must admit I'm rather impressed at the progress Windows have made, yes a bit clunky still but very functional and pretty user friendly, I think out of the 3 OS's Windows has improved the most. With Android its a little less clear, yes the OS is still the best for smartphones but as OS focusing on convergence I think they have gotten to diverse... Google Drive, Google Docs, Google+, Google Hangouts, Google Photos... on and on it goes, with certain elements of some evident in others, its a bit unclear how they all gel, or not, or even if they are supposed to. And finally Apple, still really good but having this 'controlled eco-system' does peeve people (me included) and this certain level of reliance on iTunes doesn't do them any favours, 5 years ago fine but not anymore.
All have a 'cloud' element but, and I never thought I'd say this but with the launch of Windows 365, Windows is the best document solution out there I reckon, for media I think that Apple still has the edge, just, and then as a jack of all trades Android does well but in an often disparate manner. Android needs to reduce things, and link them more cohesively from a consumer perspective, and they should use Google+ as the core.
