Samsung has announced its first smartphone with curved display, the Galaxy Round.
The Galaxy Round features a side to side curved 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB or RAM, 13-megapixel camera on the back, 2,800 mAh battery and run Android 4.3.
There are some special features that take advantage of the curved design of the handset:
- Roll Effect - allows user to check information (date, time, missed calls and battery)
- Gravity Effect - creates visual interaction with the screen by tilting the device
- Bounce UX - enables users to control their music (short press to the left of the device will play the previous track, a short press to the right will play the next track)
- Side Mirror - allows access to list of the album content with a left and right tilt

The Samsung Galaxy Round will be available in Luxury Brown (other colors will be available soon) for 1.09 million won (around $1013) starting tomorrow, October 10. There is no news when (if) the handset will be available internationally.
