This morning at MWC, Nokia introduced two mid-range Lumia handsets, the Lumia 520 and the Lumia 720.
The Lumia 520 is company's cheapest Windows Phone 8 handset. It features a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) super sensitive screen, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card), a 5-megapixel f/2.4 back camera (capable of HD 720p video) and 1,430 mAh battery that should provide up to 9.6 hours of talk time on 3G and 6 hours of Wi-Fi browsing.
It will go on sale in March in Hong Kong and Vietnam, and soon after in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. It will come in yellow, red, cyan, white and black and will retail for 139 euros before taxes and subsidies.
The Lumia 720 features a 4.3-inch ClearBlack WVGA (800 x 480) LCD display, same 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 6.7-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 lens, 1.3-megapixel front facer, NFC, and 2,000 mAh battery. It will hit the shelves in March in matte red, yellow, cyan and black and glossy white for just 249 euros.
Both handsets will come with all Lumia exclusive goodies: full suite of Here apps: Here Drive, Here Maps, Here Transit and Here City Lens as well as Nokia Music.
No real PureView Windows Phone 8 smartphone at MWC. Dissapointed?
