The Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 carries on the tradition of Samsung trying to merge its dominance in Android with its growing camera pedigree. The concept is that aside from having a point-and-shoot camera with optics superior to your smartphone, it has the same connectivity and app opportunities as a web-enabled phone. Samsung has done a good job of designing a camera and putting some smart features into it. There's still some room for improvement because the pre-production software included with the Galaxy Camera 2 is not as fast as it should be with 2GB of RAM and a 1.6GHz quad-core processor. However, there's reason to be encouraged by what could be a good product once more details are available.
