Sure, it's disappointing to see that only 1.4 percent of active Android smartphones and tablets run Android 4.4 KitKat, but that number took its first step to increasing today. Samsung has started its update process to bring the Galaxy Note 3 to Android 4.4.2 KitKat in one country, and history means that several other countries are next up to bat.
The Android 4.4.2 update is now available for download in Poland through the Samsung Kies computer software. This is for the model with a Snapdragon processor, according to Sam Mobile, and an over-the-air version should follow soon. Based on past updates, other unlocked models and phones that aren't tied to carriers should start having the option to download within a few weeks. However, which countries will be included among the list is unknown since Samsung hasn't made any announcements. Polish Galaxy Note 3 owners can launch Kies to update the software, and users based in other parts of Europe can hope that the same opportunity will arrive for them in the coming days.
